Charlotte (27) is a Rotterdam based artist who mainly uses charcoal and acrylic paint to create artworks. Art in which she gives free rein to her dreams and thoughts. Exploring the emotions and connections of human’s while being inspired by their anatomy and behaviour. In most of her work she uses channeling, a way of writing where you run charcoal over paper in a meditation state of mind without thinking. These writings are the main part in each artwork, sometimes readable for the viewer and sometimes hidden away. She creates art that stops you for a second, let’s you think and opens a conversation on topics that are actual or were during the period when the art piece was created.
